Therapeutic Offerings

  • Ketamine-assisted Psychotherapy

KAP is an evidence based practice that can expedite your healing journey. KAP has been shown as effective in treating PTSD, anxiety, OCD, depression, and in helping individuals get “unstuck” - where traditional therapy hasn’t helped. People often say KAP is like 2 years of therapy in 6 weeks.

  • Psychedelic Integration

Integration is a process in which a person engages in making sense of, translating, and processing the content of their psychedelic experience. Integration therapy helps you to incorporate the emergent lessons and insights from your experience - into your life.

  • "Adult Families" & Couples

All work is family work because we all bring our internal family systems into our relationships. Wherever you are in your journey, you deserve the best support. Are you adjusting to a transition or looking to strengthen intimacy and communication with your partner? Maybe you want to repair ruptures with a parent or sibling? Perhaps you want guidance in your conscious uncoupling?

  • Healing Difficult Psychedelic Experiences

With psychedelic healing gaining popularity, there are more and more incidents of difficult experiences occurring both with underground facilitators and licensed ones alike, as well as, well intended personal use. You are not alone. Together, with curiosity and tenderness we will examine ways to grow and move forward from the difficult.

  • Individual Therapy

Do you struggle to feel worthy? Are you someone who looks like they are thriving but internally you can’t shake self doubt, anxiety, and burn out? Have you experienced a difficult struggle or trauma and want to learn how to free yourself from the internal shame and judgment?

  • Uncoupling Ceremony and Ritual

Ceremony and ritual have long marked rights of passage for births, deaths, and marital unions. Uncoupling has so many complex meaningful elements such as grief and loss, new beginnings, letting go, and setting intentions for the future. Let us help you create a ceremony to mark your uncoupling decision.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic also classified as a psychedelic. Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a deep psychotherapeutic process that can produce expedited improvement for a number of mental health struggles including: depression, anxiety, suicidality, post-traumatic stress, postpartum, obsessive-compulsive disorder and more. KAP is notably effective in treatment resistant mental health disorders.

  • KAP is a Holistic approach that works with your mind, body, and spirit to activate your internal healing capabilities and deepens mind/body connection. We believe that the biochemical antidepressant and neuroplastic properties of ketamine are amplified when a person is well prepared for their experience and results are maximized when there is space for new insights and perspectives to be integrated into their narratives. The medicine acts as a powerful disruption in painful patterns, accelerating the therapeutic process, often allowing you to achieve what you might – only after many years of traditional talk therapy. Ketamine works by giving you more access to your internal strengths and ability to heal and grow by disrupting ordinary repetitive thought patterns (default network). It helps to give you a reprieve or break from your habitual ways of thinking, opening up opportunity for cognitive flexibility/expansion.

I work in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical. I take on the psychotherapy portion of the experience, while Journey Clinical’s medical team supports you on all medical aspects. This includes determining eligibility, developing a custom treatment plan, prescribing the medicine and monitoring outcomes. Below is more information about KAP to help you navigate if it may be a good fit for you.

  • First things first: You reach out to me, Dr. Sabrina Hadeed and schedule a meeting. If you are a good fit for KAP work, we proceed to scheduling regular therapy sessions to help me get to know you and to begin our preparation for the KAP work. I also get you connected with the Journey clinical team as outlined below.

     1. Initial consultation with Journey Clinical

    • You schedule an initial evaluation with a clinician from the Journey Clinical medical team via zoom. They will go over your medical and psychiatric history with you, provide education on the treatment and determine if you are eligible for KAP.

    • If Journey Clinical’s medical team determines that you are eligible for KAP, they will develop a personalized Ketamine prescription and outcome monitoring plan for you.

    • Journey Clinical’s medical staff will write a ketamine prescription for you, and a small amount of oral ketamine will be sent to your home, enough for the first 2 KAP sessions.

    • You will be taught to take your vitals and self-administer the ketamine lozenges by Journey Clinical’s medical team in advance of our KAP sessions.

    2. Preparation sessions:

    • Once you receive your ketamine lozenges, we will schedule time together for our KAP preparation, dosing and integration sessions. Preparation session(s) will be scheduled just like regular therapy sessions prior to the KAP dosing session. The goal of a preparation session(s) is to align on the process and set intentions for our KAP sessions together.

    3. KAP Dosing Session:

    • A typical ketamine dosing session lasts between 1-2 hours and can take place either in-person at my office, or remotely via telehealth.

    • During a dosing session, you will self-administer your ketamine lozenge either in my office or in your home. You will be in a comfortable, reclining position wearing an eye mask and listening to calming music. Although a KAP dosing session may be largely an internal experience, I will be present with you the entire time to hold space and provide support as needed.

    4. Integration Sessions:

    • After our KAP dosing session, we will meet for multiple integration therapy sessions to review the memories, thoughts & insights that arose during your dosing session, and to prepare for the next dosing session.

    5. Follow-up consultations with Journey Clinical:

    • After our first KAP session, Journey Clinical’s medical team schedules regular follow ups with you to monitor outcomes and prescribe ketamine lozenge refills, as appropriate. The frequency of follow ups depends on your unique treatment plan, at a minimum of once per quarter.

    6. Ongoing follow-up Consultations with Journey Clinical :

    • After our first KAP session, Journey Clinical’s medical team schedules regular follow ups with you to monitor outcomes and prescribe ketamine lozenge refills, as appropriate. The frequency of follow ups depends on your unique treatment plan, at a minimum of once per quarter.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is an affordable, accessible modality. Although the medical intake and follow ups are not covered by insurance, they are eligible for out-of-network reimbursement.

Words from past clients:

“My husband and I had seen at least three other therapists before finding Sabrina. We never thought we would end up where we are today. We aren’t perfect or blissfully happy all the time. But we are more honest and loving. We have a better way of listening to one another and communicating, especially appreciations and the hard stuff too. I think by helping us face the scariest aspects of ourselves and our relationship, she helped us shift into a more honest and loving place.”

It may also look like inviting a family member to join after individual work -with a specific intention for repair or deepen understanding. It’s all individualized, so let’s talk about it and decide together what may work best!
